Salt Box are lovely people. We achieved a lot in a relaxed informal way and I learnt a few new things to help me feel more confident. Would have liked a dessert rather than 3 pasta/gnocchi courses. I particularly love their ethos and hope to attend more of their events.

We had a fabulous time, thank you so much! We got a very warm welcome from the Firebird team and both the beer and food were absolutely delicious. We were celebrating a birthday party so were quite a big group but we also met some lovely new people, too... all in all a perfect evening.

What a lovely way to learn a new cooking skill and enjoy a wonderful meal. The hosts gave an excellent workshop on how to make quick pickles and we then had fun creating our own combinations. A perfect idea for cost effective gifts that are healthy and unique. After our making session, we were then served a glorious lunch of tender pork belly, fantastic sprout slaw - even the sprout haters loved it! and naturally, a range of pickles. All set in a lovely barn in the Sussex countryside.

My family had such a wonderful dose of autumn sunshine and golden leaves at the Salt Box’s outdoor breakfast. Beautiful food in a family friendly venue (you can’t get a more perfect venue for my two little scamps!). My 4-year old is already pestering me to book again!

It went really well. We had expected delicious food and were not disappointed! We were welcomed by the Waitrose manager which was nice. The wines were really good and we met met friendly interesting people. All I all, Thank you wififo a really good evening

Very enjoyable. Food interesting and tasty with plenty for seconds! The pork was amazing! Only slight downside was bench seats a little uncomfortable for those with bad backs!

It was all fantastic! Great location, set up, food (well thought out menu and top cooking), friendly servers & service, great vibe! Endless coffee :) We loved it and hope to come along to other similar events. Need clearer signage in the woods maybe. Otherwise exceeded pretty high expectations!

First time attending an event like this. Brilliant time. Fabulous hosts and food. No one on our table of 12 had attended an event like this previously but all really enjoyed. Particularly enjoyed the chocolate,bay,and earl gray torte and I don’t like desserts!! Would thoroughly recommend and are looking forward to booking our next supper. Also think the idea of BYO is brilliant.
