Join me for a unique Supper Club at the fantastic Palace Cinema in Longridge. We eat first then bob downstairs to the cinema to watch Little Women. The price of the event includes cinema tickets. Dinner will be served at 18.00 with a film start of 20.15.
I love the flavours of the Mediterranean, my parents are Spanish and Italian so it's the food of my heritage. Let's begin the evening with sharing platters of tapas style starters served with a selection of bread but please do choose a main course from the two options.
Slow roasted tomatoes with a yogurt dressing - roasting does something magical to tomatoes, they take on an intense deep flavour, sprinkled with sea salt and olive oil and served with plenty of bread to dunk.
Roasted peppers with olive oil - roasting does something magical to peppers, sprinkled with sea salt you'll be fighting over the last one!
Balsamic vinegar and olive oil dipping dish
Then choose a main course of either;
Chicken Puttanesca - I have long been a fan of the Italian puttanesca sauce, this lovely gutsy sauce is supremely good with chicken, the olives had a hint of saltiness to the dish that makes your lips tingle.
Aubgerine Puttanesca - as above but the chicken is substituted for thick slices of beautiful aubergine.
Both served on a bed of pasta.
.. and relax, for pudding we have
An Italian classic Tiramisu - my grandma's recipe using strong black coffee soaked sponge fingers as the base, clouds of whipped mascarpone and sprinkled with dark chocolate the ultimate dish of decadence.
Meringue kisses (we always have meringue)
If you have any allergies or dietary requirements please do send me a message before you book just to be on the safe side. The menu may change slightly depending what looks great at the market and what's in the fridge but we promise that you won't go home hungry.
Hi Maria, Julie again. Just checked with my sister who is coming instead of Denise Wolstenholme (Noelle Ryder coming instead). She would like chicken for the main, I think Denise ordered aubergine, thanks
