Did you make a New Year's resolution to eat less meat or try to go meat free one day a week then we can help. If you have been to dinner before you will know that we do magical things with salads and tonight I want to try out a few new ones and recreate some of our most popular dishes. If you are vegan/vegetarian or have a gluten free diet do let me know when you book so that I can adapt recipes or rustle up an alternative.
We always start off with a menu as such but it all depends on what's in the fridge, what looks good in the shops and the weather on the day. We are eating Ottolenghi style so everything will come out as soon as it's cooked.
Slow roasted tomatoes with a yogurt dressing - one of our now signature dishes (we have some vegan yogurt too for this one).
Roasted sliced beetroot on a layer of avocado dressing sprinkled with goats cheese and nigella seeds - I rustled this up as an experiment for breakfast a few weeks ago and was hugely disappointed when I realised I had eaten the lot. (we can make this one without the goats cheese too).
Roasted cauliflower with a harissa and tomato dressing – Roasting does something magical to cauliflower and this dish is ... magical.
Roasted red onions with a walnut salsa - this dish has now become a firm favourite at our supper club events, we can make this with or without goats cheese.
Cauliflower and cumin fritter with lime yogurt - a bit like a pakora these little parcels of joy will make your heart sing, I bet you can't just have one.
We always have two and there is always some home made meringue kisses and we will rustle up something light with chocolate - you know you won't go home hungry.
Hi Maria, I have to work in London tomorrow - train should get into Preston just after 18:30. Just wanted to let you know in case I am a few minutes late sorry! Was working from home when I booked. Very much looking forward to it Steph
