If you have been to dinner before you will know that we do magical things with salads and tonight I want to try out a few new ones and recreat some of our most popular dishes. If you are vegan/vegetarain or have a gluten free diet do let me know when you bok sothat I can adapt recipes or rustle up an alternative. (If you havent been to dinner before then what are you wiating for??)
Slow roasted tomatoes with a yogurt dressing - one of our now signature dishes.
Roasted sliced beetroot on a layer of avocado dressing sprinkled with goats cheese and nigella seeds - I rustled this up as an experiment for breakfast a few weeks ago and was hugely disappointed when I realised I had eaten the lot.
Grilled aubergine babaganoush - the salad that thinks it's a dip (but can't quite make it's mind up!)
Warm tomatoes and goats cheese infused with thyme oil - you will be fighting over the last one.
I am on the look out for a new lentil salad and so far have tried a few but nothing that sets my taste buds going so tonight I am going to make a potato, lentil and herb salad - fingers crossed this is THE one!
Roast chicken and green salad with a honey tahini dressing - this is one of my favourites (we can mix some of this without the chicken if you prefer.)
We always have two and there is always some home made meringue kisses and homemade ice-cream in the freezer …. you know you won't go home hungry.
