Our host was delightful! Lauren really knew all about Californian wines and was able to share her enthusiasm with us, giving us the opportunity to taste wines that we would not usually choose. Lauren showed us how to look at and taste each wine. The Waitrose wine bar is a perfect setting for this type of event and I hope this will have been the first of many.

Our host Lauren was charming and informative. We tasted a number of wines and she instructed us about the best ways of appreciating each one. I would not normally have chosen Californian wine but will aim to try more. The Brazin Zinfandel was a revelation. I hope that Waitrose will have more of these events. They certainly have the facility at the Haywards Heath store and a good in-store wine expert.

It was a refreshing change at Waitrose Canary Wharf as they have not hosted tutored wine tastings for nearly five years. Aneta, the wine expert was knowledgable about the subject kept us involved during the evening. We were made aware of the sponsor's wines and have purchased some of them. The rating above for "Food" is for the wine. We purchased food from the bar, hence not part of the review.

Fabulous presentation and I certainly know a lot more about Plymouth Gin. Some quite fascinating facts and I now have quite a taste for the cocktails. I was never a gin person before but I think I am now!!

Our host Anneta was very knowledgeable and informative, she spoke to everyone which was very nice, and allowed us to appreciate and have an insight of the wines we tasted, I like being able to be with other people who enjoy wines and foods and being g able to get new knowledge in a relaxed atmosphere and I thank whoever had the idea to bring this wine tasting experience through and to getting a good and excellent person like Anneta to promote this and would really l ok me to see other products on taster sessions to encourage me to try them, thank you

Very good, knowledgable, interesting, and a pleasant style. Demonstrated how different wines could be paired with different foods. Would have preferred to have a canernet saiignon red to try instead of the final red which was far too sweet (apothicary?).

The lady was extremely professional in providing all the wine information and history of California wine growing, highly recommended. Waitrose missed an opportunty by not offering a discount to attendees if they bought, say, 6 bottle minimum of the wine being sampled.

Not a great evening. Our host (Joe) was not very good. Not very knowledgeable or enthusiastic about his presentation. Would not recommend him. A pity Waitrose did not provide any nibbles to go with the drinks. They have a Sushi bar (Worcester branch) and it would have been great to provide some Sushi to compliment the Japanese drinks. (So ignore my rating on the food) It would not have cost Waitrose very much as the Sushi provided could have been close to its sell by date, and the fact they make the Sushi instore would have been a great opportunity to promote this side of their business. A missed opportunity here! Not a great evening on this ocassion.
