WeFiFo's Culture Clubs

As part of the Horsham District Year of Culture WeFiFo is hosting a series of monthly Culture Clubs.

These clubs, held in locations across the district, will bring together a variety of cultural activities with local WeFiFo hosts.

This month's author

We’re delighted to introduce you to Viv Groskop, the next author to join us in our series of Culture Clubs.

Journalist, comedian, author and writer Viv started her career as a freelance journalist, writing for publications including The Guardian, Evening Standard, The Observer, Daily Mail, Mail on Sunday and Red magazine. An advocate for women, she writes on arts, books, popular culture and current affairs, often with a feminist slant. Viv is also a popular Podcast host – working with online publication The Pool and high street retailer Mint Velvet.

Viv will be in Slinfold to discuss her new book How To Own The Room and to join the table as we enjoy a three course feast from Laura Scott the chef behind The Epsom Supper Club.

Meet April's Culture Club Chef – Laura Scott

Laura, also known as the Epsom Supper Club, is a Private chef, Supper Club host and cookery tutor whose interest in food has enabled her to feed thousands of guests across Surrey and Sussex.

Having cooked at an early age, Laura began her career training at Claridges, following classic chefs such as Anton Mossiman, Raymond Blanc and Marco Pierre White. Laura loves to grow her own produce as well as cook seasonally, curating dishes across a number of cuisines. Laura says: “Food for me is all about interesting flavour combinations and the influence of the growing season. Cooking is all about sharing and enjoying food. It makes life good.”

Fast forward to today, where Laura hosts Supper Clubs at home in Epsom and writes her blog 'How to Cook Good Food'. Laura currently runs a number of cookery classes as well as caters at private events.
