Bio
Eurasian Malaysian born and bred on the east coast of Australia, love food and travel and have had my friends trying to get me to put my culinary talents into a food business for 20 years. Finally doing it, couldn't find a decent laksa in London and my most used sambal disappeared from shelves so I created my own. It rocks!
ibu is all about bringing Malaysian food and flavours to the masses, with Chinese and Indian influences, you can't go wrong! Starting with great spicy coconut noodle soup and sassy sambal and gradually introducing the classics like rendang, satay and char kway teow.
LAKSA and SAMBAL - it's a gastronomic cuddle. Savoury spicy sambal and laksa so good you'll want to take some home with you. What's more, you can - we produce both as pastes including a vegan option to take home and make yourself!
As well as appearing at weekend London markets, we hold a monthly event on the last Saturday of the month for ONE NIGHT only where we introduce you to our take on some of the best comfort foods out there.
