MasterChef contestant and cookery writer Zaleha grew up in Malaysia and was taught to cook traditional Malaysian dishes by her mother from a young age. After her degree she went on a brief work attachment to Japan, it was here she met her husband whose job took them both all over the world. Having lived in Japan, Australia, Korea, the Middle East and now the UK, Zaleha is a very international cook but when it comes to having people around for a meal it will always be a Malaysian feast! Zaleha's book 'My Rendang Isn't Crispy' was published last summer and has just won the Gourmand World Cookbook Award for Malaysia in 2019, and is now in the running with other countries to win the World Best Cookbook title for 2020.
