Bio
We are one actor, one chef, one set designer and one historian. The perfect team As far as I can remember my love for history has always been the forefront to my creativity. Every Sunday my Dad would wake us all up early and we would visit a different museum, or exhibition. I was fascinated with the Imperial War Museum, the London Dungeon and the Science museum , mostly for its experiences. If it being the trench experience, or sitting in an Anderson shelter whilst an air raid was sounding off, it was like going back in time almost like experiencing a time machine. Fast forward 17 years later, I'm 5 years deep into a chefs career, and one day I was reading about food through history, and then the idea came to me. Why not start a supper club that revolves around notable historical events, why not transport dinners back in time. So we have actors playing roles and interacting with dinners, we have food from that period of time, and we have an amazing set and scenery that really transports you back to that time, its covering all senses not just taste

Jack The Ripper- Murder Mystery Dining

Sadly this event put on by History supper club was not what was sold, and we all left with a promise of a full refund from the main caterer named Anton. Main issues: -We arrived at 630 and received our welcome drink at 830. There was no organisation, people including us literally found an off licence to get a drink before they brought ours. They seemed understaffed and unorganised. -They never brought us even a glass of water even though we asked repeatedly. -Our starters arrived 2 hours after the event started. People were so hungry they went to the shop and bought crisps. By this time multiple people had walked out, and no one was interested in the limited 'show' they were doing every half hour. Oh, and no one at our table received the starters we ordered 2 hours previous, but instead were given a plate of chickpeas with spices. 'we ran out' we were told. -At this point I had received my warm gin and tonic, and my partner his warm beer (we had to ask so many times for this that it felt like we were begging). We ordered mains and at 10pm were told they ran out and they brought us chicken instead of the lamb we ordered. By this point everyone else at our table had left and the staff were apologising to tables. -There was no immersive show, and definitely not 'which has been set and dressed by a prominent Hollywood set designer.' like they promised. We left before dessert as it was clear that we weren’t going to get what we order either. The main chef Anton first promised a 50% refund but by the end of the night he said we would all be refunded. He said this would be done through the companies we all booked through (some used grubhub, design my night and others), We also spoke to a server Zainab who also looked shell shocked from the night. Let me know if you need any other details. The contact details for the event organiser was a man named George and this email :Historysupperclub@gmail.com Thanks!
