Sunday Dinner
Past Event

Come and join Alan and I for Sunday dinner
We're not having a starter today but make sure you save some space for two puddings and a cheese board!
Today's roast is chicken, I usually put a variety of vegetables in with the chicken to roast and caramelize to add flavour to the roasting juices.
There will be a choice of gravies one traditional made with the chicken and vegetable juices in the roasting tin and homemade chicken stock and the other one a tarragon and cream gravy ... you choose but just let me tell you I have made men cry with the wonder of my gravy ...
If you are a vegetarian and would still like to come let me know and we will rustle up something equally as delicious.
Roast potatoes and at least three different kinds of vegetables.
For dessert we always have two and yes you can have both.
If Miss apple crumble married Mr Victoria sponge and had a child they would have an apple sponge ... this is the best of both .... apple slices are gently caramelised and place in a dish with the sponge mixture poured on top then baked in the oven till golden brown (texture like sun) ..Served with cream, ice cream, custard all three ... any combination make it yours ....
Home made soft fluffy scones with the biggest selection of jam you have ever seen.
Then there is the mega cheeseboard - selection of foreign and local cheese some hard, some soft - so soft they are practically gooey served with grapes, walnuts, figs, biscuits, quince jelly, membrillo and a snifter of port.
Freshly ground coffee served with a variety of after dinner mints. Our variety of liqueur coffees knows no bounds. We have whiskey, both Irish and Scottish, Brandy, Tia Maria, Baileys, Tequila, Rum, Amaretto; you name it we’ve got it !!! There is also Yorkshire tea, mint tea, green tea, liquorice tea, pomegranate and apple tea and decaf coffee if anyone wants one.

Maria was friendly but could have explained a bit more about the food been served. I was looking forward to the tapas starters but served altogether was a bit too much of a clash of flavours. All very nice individually though!
