Please join me for a cookery class in my cosy converted cellar kitchen, where together we will make a classic beef lasagne and panzanella salad.
With a maximum of five guests per class, you can expect fun, hands on learning.
Please note we regret there is no disabled access. The kitchen is accessed via a descending staircase.
Recipes will be provided after the class.
Classic Beef Lasagne
In 2005, I was invited to help with a friend's dinner party and was asked to make & bring a lasagne. I sat next to a gentlemen called Chris, who it turned out had a Swedish Dad and an Italian Mum. He tried my lasagne and said it was better than his Mama's, but for goodness sake, don't tell her that! The compliment was huge and one I've never forgotten.
Come and learn how to make a rich and adaptable bolognese, a creamy bechamel sauce, and team them with pasta*, Parmigiana cheese and fresh herbs. The result will be a lasagne to be proud of!
Panzanella Salad
This Tuscan salad makes fantastic use of stale bread; perfectly soaking up the juices of the accompanying tomatoes, olive oil and red wine vinegar. Throw in a little red onion, capers and fresh basil and you have a truly delicious salad.

*Please note we will be using ready made lasagne sheets in this class. Look out for our upcoming pasta making classes to learn how to make great pasta from scratch.
